Website update

After a few months of using Facebook to post pictures of finished quilts and giving contact information for quilting services, I asked Will, my IT guru, to help me make a website for quilting services. His idea was to utilize my already existing, but much neglected blog instead of starting from scratch. I now have pages of pictures of recent quilted quilts, price lists, and a special page for tshirt quilt information. Just this week I have 3 quilt tops come in. It is exciting to see what these women have pieced and see how I can make their quilts shine. A special thanks to Patty at Bolt Fabrics in Bucksport for having me quilt her shop quilts and help promote my business. Hopefully soon I will be teaching domestic free motion quilting at her shop.

I’m going to my first craft fair

Friday afternoon I had a message on voice mail saying that there was a cancellation at the local high school craft fair and my name was next on the wait list. Luckily I have all my little items, such as tote bags, organizers, purses, baby quilts, and bookmarks all marked with prices. So, I have one week to figure out how to display everything and price the bigger quilts. Tonight is quilt guild and I’ll take a few and ask the other ladies for their ideas.
